HIGHLIGHTS OF
THE DISCUSSION HELD WITH C.G.A. ON 21-01-2014
A Delegation comprising Com.
A.K. Mehta, President, AICAEA Cat-II, Com. V. Bhattacharjee, Secretary General,
NFCAA, Com. S.C. Bamrara, Asstt. Secretary General, AICAEA, Com. (Smti) Kamlesh
Kumari, Vice Chairperson, National Women Committee, NFCAA, Com. Ravinder Kumar,
President, AICAEA, Delhi Branch, Com. Satis Kumar, Vice-President, AICAEA,
Cat-II, Delhi Branch met Shri Jawahar Thakur, CGA and handed him over the notice for the 48 hours strike on 12th
and 13th February 2014.
After accepting the strike notice,
CGA held an hour-long discussion with the delegation. He appreciated that the
demands of the Central Government Employees need to be settled through discussion with the employees
organizations . Staff side raised the issue of cadre restructuring in Civil Accounts organization
and grant of higher scales to different cadres as per the proposal submitted by
the Association in the meeting of 30th May 2013. CGA said if any
other Accounts/Audit Department has done it, he would consider such cases and
take measures to implement them. However,
CGA authorities shall always stand
positively towards these demands both before the Government and the 7CPC.
Staff side requested CGA to
resolve the grievances of AAOs and consider their requests for transfers to
their choice stations/home towns on genuine grounds. CGA assured that he shall
look into such cases and direct
his office to take favorable decisions
on the deserving cases.
The issue of granting the
benefit of II ACP to the left out persons passed department competitive
examination conducted by SSC for the posts of Accountant during the period
between 1981 and 1983 was once again placed before the CGA. He asked the
Association to furnish the details afresh for his perusal.
The issue of promotion of Sr. Accountants under 10% promotion
quota was discussed and CGA was requested to remove the condition of 53 years
of age for the eligibility conditions as per the discussion held in the formal
meeting held on 30th May 2013. He, after verifying from the
concerned officer, informed that the matter is under process.
