S. K. VYAS JI REMEMBRANCE DAY
OBSERVED
ON 13TH FEBRUARY
2016
As per the direction
of Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers, the Co-ordination
Committee of Central Government Employees and Workers, Delhi State observed Com. S. K. Vyas ji Remembrance Day on 13th February
2016.
To observe the
day, a meeting was organized in the headquarters of the Confederation of Central
Government Employees and Workers’, Office of the National Federation of Postal
Employees (NFPE), 1ST Floor North Avenue Post Office Building, New
Delhi.
The meeting was
presided over by Com. Giriraj Singh, President of the Co-ordination Committee.
The meeting started with observance of two minutes silence.
Com. V.
Bhattacharjee, General Secretary, Co-ordination Committee offered the welcome
address. While welcoming all in the programme of Remembrance Day, he explained
the significance of observing the day and also narrated some of his experiences
and learnings from Vyasji due to his long 21 years close attachment with Com.
Vyasji.
After the welcome
speech, all the leaders present in the house offered floral tribute to Com. Vasji.
Observance of
Remembrance Day was graced by the presence of Com. M. Krishnan, Secretary
General, Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers. While
offering his speech, Com. Krishnan narrated the sacrifice and contribution of
Vyasji in building up the Central Government Employees movement and working
class movement as well. He also
explained in brief the leadership qualities of Com. Vyasji and achievements of
the Central Government Employees under the leadership of Vyasji.
The house was
also addressed by Com. K. V. Jairaj, Secretary General, National Federation
atomic energy employees, Mumbai, Com. K. V. Sridharan, ex- General Secretary,
All India Postal Employees Union Group-C, Com.(Smt.) R. Sheethalaxmi, General
Secretary, All India Postmen and MTS Employees Union, Com. D. J. Mitra,
Secretary General, A. I. D. A. V. P. Employees Association, Com. R. P. Mishra, General Secretary, Income
Tax Employees Association, Group-C Circle, New Delhi, Com. K. P. Singh, Addl General Secretary,

remembrance day, However, due to their late arrival, they could offer their
oral tribute.
In his
concluding speech Com. Giriraj Singh, President once again discussed the
sacrifices and teachings of Vyasji and appealed upon all to undertake the task
of educating the Central Government employees about the contribution of Vyasji
towards the causes of Central Government Employees and his teachings on the
need of the building up strong employees
organization .
After
speeches were over, the house once again observed a minute’s silence to show
respect to Com. Vyasji. Thereafter, the
meeting was declared over with shouting of slogans like – Com. S. K. Vyas -
long live, Red salute to Vyasji and long live- workers Unity etc.

Dear Comrades,
Till we prepare
this Circular, we have received reports on observance of Day Long Dharna on 11th
February, 2016 from Delhi, Cochin, Chennai and Hyderabad and demonstration from
Kolkata. We hope programme has been observed by many other stations too and
reports are on the way. We congratulate all for observing the programme.
RESORT TO SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN
The programme of Signature
Campaign may now be started immediately. The draft of the representation on
which signatures are to be collected is annexed to this circular. The
collection of signatures may be completed within 28th February, 2016
and forwarded immediately to the Central Headquarters of respective
constituents of apex level JAC under intimation to apex JAC headquarters.
Through the
process of signature collection we shall be able to reach each and every member
and make them aware of the demands.
All constituent
of apex level JAC are therefore, requested to direct their Branches/Circles/Units
to ensure collection of signatures of cent percent membership within the
targeted date.
All local level
JACs are requested to hold meetings of local constituents and move unitedly so
that signatures are collected by all constituents from their membership without
any difficulty. Leaders of local JACs are also requested to organize floor
meetings/group meetings in all offices and explain the demands to the rank and
file membership.
