ONE DAY STRIKE ON 2ND SEPTEMBER 2016 WAS A GRAND SUCCESS.
Responding to the call of one day strike on 2nd September 2016 given by the Central Trade Unions and endorsed by the Confederation of Central Government employees and Workers in support of its 12 point Charter of Demands, members of National Federation of Civil Accounts Associations participated enthusiastically in large numbers.
As per the Branch wise report received, Civil Accounts Employees participated in the Strike of 2nd September 2016 extensively. The members of the Branches of North East (representing seven states), Bengal, Odissa, Tamilnadu and Pondicherry, Kerala, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi and AP &Telengana were on strike. Cent percent participations were in Assam, Odissa, Mumbai, Kerala and Ahmedabad. The strike was near total in Bengal, Tamilnadu and Pondicherry. Rajasthan Branch reported participation of 90% members. In Karnataka, Nashik, Nagpur and Lucknow and Bihar majority of members were on strike. Payment and accounting functions in the Pay and Accounts Offices of above states/stations were totally paralyzed.

Despite all odds and threatening by the authorities, large number of the employees of Delhi were also on strike. It has been informed by AP & Telengana Branch that Branch Secretary, AICAEA and four National Office Bearers of AICAEA and AICAEA Cat II were on strike.

The Strike therefore, was a grand success in the Civil Accounts Organization and we congratulate all the participants.
The secret behind the success of the strike was the relentless effort of the federal executive members, Branch and Unit Secretaries. They had extended their fullest cooperation and support to the Federation headquarters. Federal Executive members visited the stations they had been assigned and took all pains to explain the issues to the grass root level members. Leaders of the Branches and Units responded to the requests of Federation Headquarters and did their best to build up unity at the lowest level and made the strike a success members and leaders of Civil Accounts Organization for making the struggle a grand success. According to our record, participation of our members from different stations has remarkably increased in comparison to earlier Strike held on 2nd September 2015. Entry of Bihar Branch in the main stream of movement has pushed forward our organization further.
The Federation headquarters therefore, offers its sincere thanks to all leaders and members who have made the strike a grand success.
