LUNCH HOUR DEMONSTRATION AND FORWARD STRIKE NOTICE TO HOD/ HOO FROM THE BRANCH
In addition to other
decisions, the 8th Federal Council Meeting of the National
Federation of Civil Accounts Associations (NFCAA) held at Bengaluru on 6th&7th
December 2018, in which record number of Councilors participated from the
length and breadth of the country, has endorsed the call of Two Days strike on
8th&9th January 2019
given by the Central Trade Unions and the Confederation of Central Government
Employees & Workers’ against the anti- people, anti –worker policies of the
present NDA Government at the centre and in support of the ten basic demands of
the Central Government Employees including the demand of scrapping the NPS and
restoration of OPS.
In addition to the demand of “Scrap NPS and restore
OPS” and 9(nine) more demands of the Confederation, which embrace the totality
of the Central Government Employees, outsourced/contingent/ casual workers
engaged in Central Government Offices, Gramin Dak Sewaks and Central Government
pensioners, the 8th Federal Council Meeting has identified the 10(ten)
core demands of the Officers and Employees of Civil Accounts Organization and
decided to include those demands as PART- B Strike Charter (annexure attached
to this circular).
As per the decision of the 8th Federal
Council Meeting, the All India Civil Accounts Employees Association and All
India Civil Accounts Employees Association category II have served the Strike Notice
jointly to the CGA on 12th December 2018.
Reacting to the notice for the strike, the most
anti- employee Civil Accounts authorities have issued their customary circular
threatening the employees that in the event of their participation in the
Strike in attract the provisions of conduct Rules and Supreme court judgments.
However, we shall have to go ahead towards our goal
ignoring the retrograde colonial thinking of our authorities and to contest the
anti-people policies of the present Government along with the rest of the
working class of the country.
In pursuance of the 8th Federal Council
Meeting decision, all Branches are hereby directed to observe STRIKE PLEDGE DAY
ON 27TH DECEMBER 2018. On this day all Branches are requested to-
1.
Organize lunch hour
general body meeting at the headquarters of the branch associations to take the
pledge of making the two days strike on 8th and 9th
January 2019 a total success
2.
Forward the copy strike
notice to all Heads of the Departments or Heads of the Offices (as the case may
be) under the jurisdiction of the Branches
3.
Decide the scheduled
dates for visiting all units under the jurisdiction of Branches before 8th
January 2018.
The draft of the forwarding letter to be forwarded
to the Heads of the Departments or Heads of the Offices is annexed to this
Circular.
