Subject: preventive measures to contain spread of
COVID19 - non-operation of centralized Air Conditioners-reg.
Madam,
We have been directed to state that, according to
opinions given by the experts especially in the electronic media recently,
Centralized Air Conditioning system, when in operation, circulates the Air of
one particular area/ portion of any hall or room to another room/ hall in
cyclic form. As such, if any corona virus infected individual makes his/her
presence in any location even for few minutes in the centrally air conditioned
area, there is possibility of spreading the viruses in entire Air Conditioned
area and it would obviously increase the risk of COVID-19 infection to the
persons sitting or moving in the said air
conditioned area. The experts have also opined that air conditioning of the
rooms with window Air Conditioners do not indicate such type of risk.
Many offices of Civil
Accounts Organisation including the office of CGA and PFMS centre, etc. being
centrally Air Conditioned and hundreds of the employees and officers are
working in those places/Buildings, we seek your kind attention to this serious
matter and request you to kindly take appropriate action in this regard as the
summer season is setting in very fast.

thankful, if a line intimating the action taken on this letter is forwarded to
us at an early date.
