Appointment of M.J. Joseph as Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure
Shri M.J. Joseph (ICAS-1979) has been appointed as Controller General of Accounts in Ministry of Finance. Prior to this appointment, Shri Joseph was the Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Shri Joseph has served in various administrative capacities in the Government of India, working as Additional Secretary, in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Joint Secretary and Financial Advisor in the President Secretariat and Director in Ministry of Defence.
Shri Joseph has also worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a Public Financial Management Adviser at the IMF’s Regional Technical Assistance centre based at Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is a Post Graduate in International Economic Relations and studied Business Management from the University of Sydney, Australia.
